Alex Ehlers, BA, MFT-I
I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of life and relationships. Under supervision, I provide support for clients facing life transitions, communication difficulties, stress, family conflict, and evolving relationship dynamics. With a focus on fostering meaningful connections, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore therapeutic possibilities that align with your values and goals.
The path to healing can be challenging and nonlinear and I’m here to walk with you on your journey wherever your starting point may be. My therapeutic style is client-centered, emphasizing collaboration and respect for each client’s unique experiences and perspectives. Utilizing a systemic approach to therapy, I consider the broader context of each client’s life—family, relationships, and environment—to develop strategies for lasting change. I believe that you are the expert in your own experience and I’m committed to supporting you in navigating challenges, strengthening connections with yourself and others, along with fostering personal growth.
I support adolescents, adults, couples, and families in processing trauma, navigating difficult emotions, and fostering healing. Integrating warmth and humor, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship with each client to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, low self-esteem, a sense of purposelessness, family conflict, and life transitions. Together, we can navigate this path forward- let’s connect when you’re ready!
