Meet

Sandy Brown, BS, CMHC-I

My clients seek help for various reasons, including addressing anxiety and depression, discovering their sense of purpose and identity, boosting self-esteem, strengthening their relationships, and finding greater joy in their lives.

Some clients benefit from processing unresolved trauma which enables them to better regulate their reactions and alter their behavior patterns. While not all my clients focus specifically on trauma, I have found that past life events often influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Although I recognize the impact of formative experiences, my primary focus is on my clients’ current goals.

As a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) trained group facilitator, I create a supportive environment where participants learn and practice emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. By integrating these DBT components, I help them manage their emotions, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and build positive relationships. Through structured activities and discussions, I guide them in reducing self-destructive behaviors and improving their mental health.
